Le Columbia


While Brigil conscientiously undertakes every building project with eyes firmly fixed on the future, it is also a company that respects the triumphs and traditions of the past. These dual sensibilities have helped to shape the vision for the company’s newest development in the Hull sector of Gatineau, which includes preserving the historic Columbia Farmhouse, built in 1837.

Ten years after acquiring the Columbia Farm property, Brigil is integrating the heritage building into the construction of its luxury rental condominium project at the corner of St. Joseph Boulevard and Gamelin Street. By preserving the impressively-crafted stone farmhouse, Brigil is paying homage to the determination and dedication of the home’s builders, the family of Philemon Wright, who founded Wright’s Town in Hull Township almost 200 years ago.
